Day 01 Arrive Cairo

Welcome to your 'Glimpses of Egypt' tour!

On arrival in Cairo, your Cox & Kings representative will greet you at the 'meeting point' at the exit. After immigration and customs, transfer comfortably to your hotel (check-in after 1400 hrs).

This evening, look forward to a dazzling Sound and Light show at Giza Pyramids. This spectacular show uses innovative techniques to narrate the history of ancient Egypt with magnificent sound and light effects against the Pyramids as a backdrop.

Day 02 Cairo

Today, enjoy a full day excursion to Alexandria, the city founded by Alexander the Great. With an atmosphere more Mediterranean than Middle Eastern, this city has many unique attractions. Spend the day viewing the relics of a bygone age, the highlight of Alexandria.

Also, visit the Qaitbay Fortress, Library and the Catacombs.

Day 03 Cairo

Spend the morning at the Great Pyramids of Giza. Cheops - one of the oldest and largest pyramid on the Giza plateau, Chephren and Mykerinos, and the defending Sphinx - one of the most majestic and enduring monuments of Egypt.

Next, visit the Papyrus Institute. See the processes and efforts it took to make this ancient form of paper. Also, enjoy the beautiful illustrative Egyptian art and stories painted depicting Egyptian lifestyle and culture.

Later, visit a Perfume Factory, where a demonstration in the art of perfume making awaits you. The next stop is at the Jewellery Shop, where you can browse through exquisite ornaments and shop to your heart's content.

In the afternoon, visit the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, which houses one of the world's greatest collections of Egyptian artefacts. It boasts of more than 136,000 artefacts from over five thousand years of Egyptian history.

End the day with a visit to the Khan El Khalili Bazaar - Cairo's most important shopping area for souvenirs and all types of typical Egyptian artefacts.

Day 04 Cairo - Aswan

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Aswan.

On arrival, proceed to the cruise terminal and board your Nile Cruise.

Embark on a sightseeing tour of Aswan. Visit the High Dam, Philae Temple and Unfinished Obelisk.

Day 05 On board the Nile Cruise

The morning is at leisure. You can opt for an excursion to Abu Simbel which is flanked by the impressive temple of Nefertari. The entire site is truly awe-inspiring.

Then, sail to Kom Ombo, the home of Sobek - the crocodile God who was worshipped in pre-dynastic times. Witness the ancient remains of a temple of a somewhat unusual style. In fact, it is a double temple. The right hand temple is the one consecrated to Sobek and the second one is dedicated to Haroeris - the falcon-headed Sky God. This temple was built overlooking the Nile.

Continue sailing to Edfu. On arrival, take a horse carriage ride to visit the Horus Temple. The best preserved temple in the whole of Egypt, it has many inscriptions in the Coptic language and is adorned with paintings from that era.

Day 06 On board the Nile Cruise

Today, sail to cross the Esna Lock on the Nile to reach Luxor. Later, we cross over to the west bank of the Nile River to visit the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple and the Colossi of Memnon.

Later, visit the Luxor and Karnak Temples on the East Bank of the Nile

Day 07 Homeward Bound

Early morning is at leisure. You have the option of embarking on an unforgettable experience - a 40-minute hot air balloon ride over the West Bank of Luxor viewing the Ramesseum Temple, Medinet Habu Temple, desert, farmland and in the distance, the mighty river Nile.

Important Note

  • A part of your tour price will be taken in USD from your LRS as per the RBI / GOI regulations.
  • For Two Adults & Two Children (both under 12 years) rooming together, the 1st child will have to pay ""Child With Bed"" price and the 2nd Child will pay ""Child Without Bed"" price.
  • Child without bed is an individual under 12 years sharing the room with 2 full paying adults and without a bed/cost.
  • In case of 3 Adults OR 2 Adults + 2 Children (both under 12 years) rooming together, the 1st child will have to pay "Child with Bed" price and the 2nd child will pay "Child without bed" price.
  • Once an air ticket is issued, date change penalty and rerouting charges (as applicable) will be applicable. Check with our Sales Officer for the applicable charges.
  • Glimpses of Egypt tour often operates more than one coach per departure and on certain departures will operate in reverse direction.
  • The right to vary, amend, alter or withdraw any particular itinerary, departure or excursion rests entirely with the company. Due to demand of a particular airline, the in/out points may change. Services however, will remain unchanged.
  • Additional supplements on account of fuel hikes as and when received would be applicable with immediate effect.
  • For passengers from other cities joining this tour in Mumbai, the cost of to & fro domestic travel is not included in the Tour Price.
  • The right to vary, amend, alter or withdraw any particular itinerary, departure or excursion rests entirely with the company. Due to demand of a particular airline, the in/out points may change. Services however, will remain unchanged.
  • All meals mentioned in the itinerary are preset and a-la carte is not possible.
  • Any damage caused to the hotel rooms/cruise cabins during your stay shall be borne by the concerned passenger.
  • The company shall not accept any liability or responsibility for any damages, loss of baggage, loss, injury, accident, death, breakdown or irregularity which may occur in carrying out tour arrangements due to weather conditions, strikes, war, quarantine or any other cause whatsoever and all such loss or expense must be borne by the passengers.
  • The Management reserves the right to claim any additional expenses incurred due to delay or changes in schedules of train, airplane, bus, ship or any other services.
  • There are no refunds for any services i.e. meals, sightseeing etc. not utilised on the tour.
  • For convenience of our passengers / feasibility of operations, we will sometimes amend the itinerary. However, the services remain unchanged.
  • In the hotels, maximum 3 adults will be allowed per room.
  • For passengers from other cities joining this tour in Mumbai, the cost of to & fro travel is not included in the Tour Price.
  • The tour will be operated subject to a minimum of 02 full paying adult passengers travelling together and will operate on Seat In Coach Basis.

Terms & Conditions

  • Special Terms applicable for Clients opting for "Save Now Travel Later" (SNTL) product offering.

    1. These Terms are in addition to the applicable product Terms & Conditions (T & Cs ), which shall be provided to you by us at the time of booking. In case of inconsistency between those T & Cs and these SNTL Special Terms, the latter shall prevail.
    2. These Terms are applicable only to customers who opt for "SNTL" product offering.
    3. You will be required to open a Recurring Deposit Account (RD) with State Bank of India (SBI) for a period of twelve months by contributing twelve equated monthly installments (EMI). We will top it up with the thirteenth month non - refundable EMI. The total of the thirteen installments will be equivalent of the tour cost.
    4. Till the transfer of the total tour cost to our credit, you shall be governed by the terms & conditions of SBI where after, our Terms & Conditions shall apply.
    5. You shall commence and complete the booking formalities with us for the selected tour product in the tenth month of the opening of the RD with SBI.
    6. The full payment of the tour cost shall be made to us after 12 months of the date of opening of the RD or maturity date whichever is earlier. You will be required to authorise SBI to credit the entire maturity proceeds to our designated bank account.
    7. The ideal tour departure date will be 90 days post the credit of the funds to our bank account and / or submission of documents for visa processing, whichever is later. This again will be further subject to availability of the tour and time taken for processing visa. If the chosen date is unavailable, alternate dates would be offered in lieu.
    8. There shall be no contract between the parties until the Booking Documents are signed and received by the Company and it has also received the entire tour cost.
    9. We shall commence booking of the airline ticket, hotel reservation, processing of visa etc only upon receipt of the entire tour cost.
    10. Grant / rejection of visa is the sole discretion of the concerned Embassy / Consulate. We merely act as a facilitator for obtaining visa. We shall therefore be not responsible / liable for any consequences that may follow visa rejection and / or delays in obtaining visa.
    11. Any amount received in excess of the effective tour cost shall be refunded by us within 30 days without interest from the date of credit of funds to our bank account.
    12. Consequences arising out of premature withdrawal / fore closure of the RD shall be entirely upon you.
    13. The cancellation clause as appearing in the respective product T & Cs shall be made applicable only upon receipt by us of the entire tour cost .
    14. The Rate of Exchange for the foreign exchange component, the airline ticketing charges, the applicable taxes, the visa cost etc. shall be as on the date of receipt of payment by us of the tour cost.
    15. Words & expressions herein shall have the same meaning ascribed to them in the T & Cs.
    16. We reserve our rights to change these Special Terms any time without notice and without assigning any reason.
    17. These Special Terms are subject to Indian laws and further subject to Mumbai jurisdiction alone.
    18. As to the interpretation of the foregoing, the decision of Cox & Kings Limited shall be final and binding upon you.
    You will have to strictly follow the tour program and comply with the terms and conditions of the various contractors / service providers such as hotels, airlines etc.
    You are responsible to register with the representative of the Company at the appointed date, place and time for departure and you would be treated as a no-show if you fail to do so and the consequences shall be yours entirely. You are required to be punctual and adhere to the time-lines of the tour and of the contractors / service providers. If you are not punctual, you could miss your flight, your coach, your meals etc.

    You shall not behave in a manner which may cause distress or annoyance to other tour participants or to any other person or which may create the risk of danger or damage to property belonging to us or other tour participants, service providers or any other persons. If you misbehave or disturb the decorum of the tour, we may have to terminate your tour. In such an event, no refund or compensation will be paid to you and you will have to bear and pay the expenses for your return travel at your risks and consequences. You shall not carry any item or object, the possession of which is forbidden by any laws, rules or regulations. Nor shall you violate any other laws, rules or regulations of the country in which you are travelling. Should any tour participant misbehave or violate any laws, rules or regulations, we shall have the right to discontinue his / her participation and exclude him / her from the tour at his / her risk, cost and consequences. Should we suffer any damage or liability on account of a tour participant's misbehavior and / or for losses caused to property of third party service providers, we shall be free to separately charge and recover our losses and expenses from him / her.
