One of the most varied and attractive destinations in Asia, offering an unparalleled choice of sights and activities to suit all tastes - beaches, cool climate, jungle safaris, water and adventure sports, spiritual and self healing, ancient ruins and romance, all within just a few miles apart. To describe Sri Lanka is an impossibility. You must experience it yourself, see it, taste it, live it, love it and it is only then you will begin to understand it. We welcome you to experience the warmth of Sri Lankan hospitality in this Resplendent Island.

Day 1: Arrive Colombo • Transfer to Bentota
Welcome to Bentota, the largest planned beach resort on the sunny south coast! Nestled in peaceful surroundings with lush tropical foliage bordering the coast, Bentota is a paradise of unlimited sun, sea and sand.

Arrive Colombo and transfer to your hotel in Bentota where you will be garlanded and greeted by a stunning tableau of beautifully decorated elephants. In the evening, we recommend an exclusive ‘Barbecue Dinner’ at the hotel.

Day 2: Bentota • Balapitiya • Bentota
Following breakfast, you will drive to Balapitiya, where on arrival you will proceed on a boat trip on the Maadu River famous for its 64 large islands which range from about 150-200 acres. It is a good place to spot water monitors and a wide array of bird life, including myriad colourful kingfishers. Some of the famous islands are Madduwa, Kothduwa, Sathapaha Duwa and Ginduwa and most of the islands are inhabited. One of the islands is home to a large Buddhist temple adorned with lurid modern paintings and sculptures. During the boat trip you will witness the activities of the villagers like fishing and get an insight into their lifestyle. You will visit one of the islands to see locals processing cinnamon for sale and export. Following the boat safari, enjoy a typical Sri Lankan lunch of local delicacies. For a very special experience tonight, you have the option of participating in a ‘Sri Lankan Theme Dinner’.

Day 3: Bentota • Colombo
After a leisurely breakfast, proceed on drive to Colombo and check into your hotel. On arrival you will be garlanded and greeted by a cultural dance troupe of traditional Kandyan dancers and drummers. Later, enjoy a guided city and shopping tour. Highlights include a 100-year-old clock tower and several British built colonial buildings, the Pettah bazaar - where one can shop for goods bargain; a Hindu and a Buddhist temple; residential areas where you find the stately homes of the affluent and the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH). An exciting evening awaits you as you participate in a ‘Gala Beach Dinner’.

Day 4: Colombo
Bid farewell, as your magical journey comes to an end. Drive to the airport for your flight back home.
