Koh Samui: My First Day In The Gorgeous City!

October has been such a rush of a month this year! Apart from the fact that it's my birthday month, and I took a trip to Goa to celebrate it (which you must have seen if you're following me on Snapchat), I went on a Getaway Goddess holiday to Koi Samui, Thailand, with Cox & Kings right after. I'm so psyched to tell you all about it!

After a lot of running around, I was finally on the plane to Koh Samui

I had a night flight to Bangkok from where I had to take another flight to Koi Samui. Once in Bangkok, I took my time looking around and exploring the airport, completely forgetting that I had to get my visa on arrival! When I realised that I'd forgotten this, I literally ran about for almost 20 minutes to get my visa done. I got my papers just in time to catch my connecting flight to Koi Samui, thank god! Adrenaline pumping, I could barely contain my excitement as I got to my seat.

Just look at the shoreline! *lovestruck*

It takes only an hour to get to Koi Samui, where the airport is quaint and so very pretty. I put up lots of pictures on my Snapchat, you can add me @Caughtinacuff so you don't miss out on anything!

Koh Samui, here I come!

We landed in Koh Samui at 7PM so it was pretty dark outside, but my hotel was only five minutes away from the airport. I stayed at the Nora Beach Resort, and it was beautiful and absolutely breath-taking. Don't you think a beachside accommodation is ideal and completely perfect for a holiday?

Since I reached so late in the evening, I didn't really get to explore Koh Samui. All I did that night was head to the Chaweng Night Market, where I visited all the stalls. A nearby restaurant was hosting a karaoke party and some local bands were playing commercial music, so it was an enjoyable experience. The people of Koi Samui, who are very welcoming and extremely nice, left no stone unturned to make sure I was having the time of my life.

As all of you know, I LOVE to eat. That night, I tried Nutella and banana pancakes and they were oh, so delicious! I also indulged in an amazing leg massage while I was there (how could I not, really? Massages are a big part of what Thailand is so famous for).

Happiness is Nutella and Banana pancake

This was only my first day in the gorgeous city of Koh Samui; to know about my second day click here. Cheers!
