As I’ve said several times before, my trip to Phuket felt like a few days of the ultimate beauty treatment for my body and for my soul. I loved the time I spent in Phuket; from the shopping to water sports, the weekend market to Bangla Street – I enjoyed everything.
However, my favourite part of Phuket was its pristine beaches.
Phuket has a long coastline and hence, many beaches as well! Every beach in Phuket has its own beauty, its own distinct charm. And like a well-researched beauty regimen that makes you forget your stress and makes your skin glow, Phuket’s beaches are rejuvenating.
Here is a list of five of my favourite beaches in Phuket:
#1 Patong Beach
Yes, I know how crowded and “touristy” Patong Beach is but I still love it to bits. The energy here cannot be matched by any other beach in Phuket. It's the pulsating heart of Phuket and is almost always buzzing with visitors, beach bums and tourists. The beach has good view and lots of options for water sports. There are numerous choices for shopping and eating as well.
#2 Layan Beach
Located on the west coast of Phuket, Layan Beach is remote and ends with a river on one side, and a lot of small fishing boats can be found here. Since it is fairly secluded, it isn't crowded and is quiet and beautiful; I loved relaxing here. The best known feature is the tall island standing at the mouth of the river, which makes a good backdrop to the entire scenery.
#3 Banana Beach
I am not quite sure why this beach hasn’t been developed and commercialised yet, because it is quite beautiful, like a dream. With azure blue water, white sand and palm trees lining the beach – this is a sight to behold. I went here during low tide, and I wanted to go swimming almost immediately, it was so tempting. You should definitely visit this beach when you’re in Phuket.
#4 Kata Noi Beach
The white sand and sparkling blue water at this beach is stunning, and the best part is – it is rarely crowded. It is a beautiful little bay; I clicked a lot of pictures here because the colour of the water was mesmerising. Plus, the northern side of this beach is often dotted with surfers enjoying the waves. There are a number of bars here too, built on the hill with great view of the beach. Try one of these bars for local food and first-class eats accompanied by a Kata Noi Beach sunset.
#5 Mai Khao Beach
This is the longest beach in Phuket, and is almost completely deserted. Surprising, right? But this only adds to the beauty of the beach because, unlike Patong, you will not find a big crowd here – it could just be you walking along the sea (for as long as 11 kilometres), and it feels amazing to be a part of this untouched slice of heaven.
I love the ocean and I can spend hours just walking on the beach. But in Phuket, this almost became an obsession because all the beaches were lovely and so clean, and the water is alluring. Just a small walk along these beaches, with the waves caressing your feet, and you'll be left feeling pampered and happy.
And happiness is the first ingredient to a healthy mind, a healthy body and not to forget, a healthy and glowing skin. Everything about Phuket made me happy, but the beaches stole the show with their magic.
Thank you Cox & Kings for this trip and for making me feel #ForeverYoung. I will cherish my Phuket trip for a lifetime; and I am sure that I will plan another trip very soon. Because once is not enough for me, because Phuket and its beaches have a piece of my heart!
So, are you planning a getaway to relax your mind and pamper your body? I suggest you give the Getaway Goddess Phuket tour a try; you can thank me later. I mean it, it’s like a beauty treatment and you will return looking and feeling younger, lighter and happier.
