Welcome to your 'Cox & Kings - Splendours of South Africa' tour!

On arrival in Johannesburg, your Cox & Kings representative will greet you at the "meeting point" at the exit. After you complete immigration and customs, transfer comfortably to your hotel and check-in (after 15:00 hours).

Later in the evening, proceed for a panoramic orientation tour of Johannesburg. Visit Gandhi Square where Gandhiji had his office, Park Stadium, Nelson Mandela Square and Hillbrow Tower.

Early morning, check-out and proceed to the airport in Johannesburg to board your flight to Port Elizabeth.

On arrival in Port Elizabeth, meet your representative and drive to the luxurious Kwantu Game Reserve and check-in.

Kwantu offers you a unique opportunity to see the Big Five - lions, rhino, buffalo, elephants and leopard up close. Kwantu - Knysna

After breakfast, check-out and proceed to Knysna.

En route, visit Bloukrans Bungee Bridge where you can enjoy the world's highest bungee jump (by paying an additional cost).

Continue your drive to Knysna and embark on a scenic sunset cruise before checking in to the hotel.

Knysna

After breakfast at the hotel, head to Oudtshoorn, which is set in a semi-arid valley. Drive through the Wine lands along the Breede River to Oudtshoorn - 'the Feather Capital of the World'. Visit the famous Cango Caves, where the stalactite and stalagmite formations are an incredible sight.

Later, proceed to the Ostrich Farm where you can enjoy shows performed by well-trained birds. You also have a chance to ride this magnificent bird and try your luck at breaking an ostrich egg, which is an impossible task.

Thereafter, drive to 'Cheetah Ranch', where you can marvel at the grace and beauty of the world's fastest animal. Lastly, experience Crocodile Enclosure.

Knysna - Cape Town

Today after breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Cape Town. En route, stop at Mossel Bay, a harbour town where you visit the Bartolomeu Dias Museum Complex which is the largest of the museums in Mossel Bay.

Continue your drive to visit Post Office Tree - a post box in the shape of an old boot has now been erected under the tree, and the tree declared a national heritage site.

Later, on arrival in Cape Town, proceed to your hotel and check-in.

Next, proceed to visit the famous Victoria & Alfred waterfront, one of Cape Town's biggest tourist attractions where you will also enjoy a ride on the Cape Wheel, a giant observation wheel that offers a spectacular 360 degree panoramic views of the city.

Today after breakfast at the hotel, proceed on an exciting orientation tour of this beautiful city with its majestic Table Mountain backdrop. Enjoy a ride on the Cable Car 3600 (weather permitting) to reach at the top of Table Mountain for panoramic views of the city and coastline.

Later, drive through Green Market Square, District Six and Company Gardens, Houses of the Parliament, the City Hall, the Castle and Slave Lodge. Continue to visit the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, V&A Waterfront and the Two Oceans Aquarium.

Finally end your day with a breath taking helicopter ride and enjoy spectacular views of the city from the iconic and vibrant V&A Waterfront precinct.

Drive via the Ou Kaapse Weg and the Atlantic Coast to Cape Point. Here, the Atlantic and the Indian Ocean are said to meet. Marvel at the view from the southernmost tip of South Africa.

Then, enjoy a cruise to Hout Bay to the Seal Colony (weather permitting). Return along the False Bay Coast visiting the Jackass penguins at Boulders Beach. Thereafter, proceed to Canal Walk (time permitting) - the 3rd largest shopping complex in Africa to indulge in some shopping.

  • Surface transportation as mentioned in the itinerary.
  • Cost of your overseas Travel Insurance valid for the duration of the tour for passengers up to 70 years of age.
  • Services of Cox & Kings tour manager or local representative.
  • Cost of sector flight ticket for internal travel within South Africa as per the itinerary.
  • Compulsory tips to driver and guides.
Exclusions
  • Optional and Add-On tours unless otherwise specified.
  • Any increase in the airfare / taxes / routing charged by the airlines on air ticket (presently calculated as on 1st August 2018).
  • Airline / Hotel surcharges (if applicable) during high / festive season, trade fairs, exhibitions, conventions, special events etc. to be paid extra per person.
  • Porterage at hotels, airports , laundry, wines, mineral water, telephone charges, items of personal nature, food and drinks not forming part of the touring group's menu.
  • Anything not specifically mentioned under inclusions.
  • Cost of extension of validity or deviation of your air ticket.
  • Cost of US$ 2,50,000 granted by Reserve Bank of India under the Liberalised Remittance Scheme.
  • Any increase in rate of ZAR (presently calculated at 1 ZAR = INR 5.5 leading to an increase in tour cost coming into effect prior to departure. However, the rate prevailing on given day of payment will apply.
  • Goods and Services Tax of 5%.
Price
All rates are based on currents ROE ZAR 1 = INR 5.49. The rate of exchange prevailing on the day of payment will apply.
