The island is just 300 metre long and 100 metre wide but its appeal is much greater than its size. St. Mary's Island has earned its fame from the unique salt rock formation along the coastal area. Because of tis geological significance, this island has been declared as a National Geological Monument.
Chikmagalur: Give your eyes to see the enchanting view of undulating hills, fascinating caves, crystal-clear pools, lush green meadows at Chikmagalur. It is a hill station located at the slopes of Mulliyangiri range in the south-western part of Karnataka. This hill station lies at an average elevation of 3,400 feet above the mean sea level. This serene spot is quite famous for its coffee plantations. It is the place where coffee was first cultivated in India.
