Being nestled right in the heart of the Himalayan Range, Spiti Valley is subjected to heavy snowfall during winter time. Road blockage due to snow-deposition is a common phenomenon in winter season. To avoid inconvenience, we recommend you to skip the months from November to May for Spiti visit. The Hindustan-Tibet Highway remains open round the year via Kinnaur Valley and you can reach Kaza by road as there is no such high mountain pass on this route. Summer (July to October)is the best time to enjoy the beauty of Spiti Valley and to experience some adventure sports like trekking and rafting.
