Arrive Kochi * on to Munnar (Approx 130 Kms / Approx 4 hrs)

Welcome to your “Mountain Magic in Munnar” tour! On arrival in Kochi Airport / Railway station you will be transferred to your hotel. Munnar which is a breathtakingly beautiful idyllic tourist destination & a haven of peace and tranquillity in God's own country. In the evening, you will proceed for photography session where you will learn how to capture the best Image. Overnight stay at Munnar. (Dinner)


Early morning, visit Chinnakanal area for an eye capturing photography of the sunrise. Return to your hotel. After breakfast, proceed to Rajamalai Eravikulam National Park. On the way back to your hotel, visit CSI Christ Church which has massive glass windows and peaceful surroundings and boasts an enormous architecture and graceful interiors. Post Lunch you will visit Kolukkumalai Estate for eye capturing visuals located 38 kms from Munnar. The sprawling plantations and an old tea factory lend an old world charm to this place. For those hoping to visit an authentic tea estate to see tea processed in the tradition orthodox method there is no better place to go than the Kolukkumalai Tea Factory, an original tea factory built by the British during the 1940's. Return to the hotel.

Marayoor -Munnar (Rock painting and Muniyara Dolmens -Approx 40kms)

After breakfast, visit the Rock Paintings and Dolmenoid cists.

Marayoor houses the ‘Muniyara’ or the stone coffins with underground tunnels, which date back to the Neolithic period. These caves-like structures resting on vertical rocks are present everywhere - they are stone slabs resembling crudely-made boxes. There are paintings depicting the legendary wanderings of ‘Rama and Sita' and the 'Pandavas' inside the cave. Return to the hotel. In the evening, gather to the venue for the photography contest where in the best photographs will be shortlisted by a panel. Once the contest is over, the winner will be announced from the shortlisted candidates and the prize distribution will commence which will lead to a souvenir distribution ceremony.

  • Marayur -Kovilkadavu-Munnar :
    Marayur or Marayoor is a town in Idukki district of Kerala, It is located 42 kilometres north of Munnar on SH 17 connecting Munnar with Udumalpet, Tamil Nadu. Marayur is the only place in Kerala that has natural sandalwood forests. Ancient rock paintings are part of Marayur heritage at Attala, Ezhuthu Guha (literally means “cave of writing”)

    There is a rock painting at Manala in Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary of Marayur near the Alampetty tribal settlement. Here, a picture of a deer and a man can be seen. In close proximity to this art site, a new rock painting has been newly discovered.
  • Muniyara Dolmens :
    Kovilkadavu is less than five kilometres from Marayur town and the place is famous for Neolithic dolmens and rock paintings. Ten 10 painted motifs are located on the south-western slope of the plateau overlooking the Pambar river.

    Ancient dolmens and rock paintings in Marayur claims to be a part of a Stone Age civilization that is as old as 10,000 B.C.
  • Top Station (Approx 40kms from Munnar) :
    Top Station is one of the well frequented tourist hotspots in Kerala. The place is located at an average elevation of 1800 meters above sea levels in the Western Ghats.

    The tourists can experience breathtaking views of the mountains and walk among the clouds for an out-worldly experience.
  • Chithirapuram (Approx 10 Kms From Munnar) :
    Chithirapuram is characterized by old bungalows and cottages and playgrounds. It is famous for enormous and lush green tea plantations.

    Located at a short distance of 10 kilometres from Munnar, the town is visited by several tourists who visit in order to experience the old worldly charm of the place.
  • Munnar CSI Christ Church :
    The history of Munnar CSI Christ Church is unique. The church with its massive glass windows and peaceful surroundings boast an enormous architecture and graceful interiors. So do not forget to carry a camera to capture its splendor.

  • Lockhart Gap :
    Lockhart Gap (often spelt wrongly as Lock Heart Gap), just 13 km from Munnar, is an ideal place for adventure tourism and trekking ,this magnificent vantage point lies close to Mattupetty.

    This place offers some amazing views of the mist-clad blue hills covered with lush greenery, winding roads and silver brooks splashing the emerald greenery with white streaks. The salubrious climate and picturesque surroundings make it one of the most preferred locations to visit in Munnar.
    And the sights would be much prettier during evenings when the whole surroundings get illuminated in the orange glow. Panoramic view from this place gives us bird's eye view of the kilometre of surrounding area.
