Kaziranga is one of the oldest national parks in India. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This prestigious national park of India is situated in the north eastern part of the country in the district of Golaghat and Nagoan in the state of Assam. It is the largest habitat for Indian single horned Rhinoceros, Eastern Barasingha, wild water Buffalo, Elephant and Tiger. Kaziranga is also famous for offering one of the most cosmopolitan outdoor activities called birding.

On arrival at airport in Guwahati you will be transferred to your hotel.
Kaziranga National Park is located in the heart of Assam on the banks of the mighty Brahmaputra river. It is famous world over for the presence of the one-horned rhinos. En-route visit Kamakhya Temple, a major Hindu pilgrimage site and it’s one of the oldest of the 51 Shakti Pithas. It is dedicated to the mother goddess Kamakhya. On arrival at Kaziranga check into a hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. In the evening, you can visit Hathikuli Tea Estate, the word “Hathikuli” is derived from the Assamese words “Hathi” (Elephant) and “Kuli” (Frequent) which translates into a place that is frequently visited by elephants. Hathikuli is also host to many wild animals and birds.

Early morning explore central range of Kaziranga national park on Elephant Safari, on return take a jeep safari to explore the eastern range of the national park. Return for lunch and proceed to western range of Kaziranga national park on jeep. (You can choose Jeep safari / Elephant safari on direct payment basis).

Early morning go for trekking in Panbari Reserve the entire forest can be covered in 2 hours, with the help of the guide that has to be hired from Kohara base. Spread over an area of 10 sq km long patch this forest reserve is one of Kaziranga’s few remaining highland forest stretches. Later, drive to Nameri National Park is located in the Sonitpur district, bordering Arunachal Pradesh and it is also the core area of Nameri Tiger Reserve. It is the home of the endangered species like white winged wood duck, Sloth Bear, Tiger, Leopard, Clouded Leopard, Sambar, Gaur, Indian Wild Dog, four varieties of Hornbill and many other winged species. The other reason Nameri is famous for the herds of Elephants.

Early morning go for trekking in the nature walk and the bird watching trip into the dense jungle at Nameri national Park with the forest guards. On return you can opt for river rafting in Jia Bharali river adjoining to the Nameri National Park. (Optional)
