Cox & Kings is the longest established travel company in the world. Cox and Kings offers online and offline fulfillment for all travel needs ranging from domestic to international for the leisure or business traveler.
In order to celebrate its 250 years of existence as one of the oldest Travel Agencies in the world and in order to enhance knowledge on new destinations and more in-depth knowledge to known destinations Cox and Kings (India) Ltd (“the Company” for brief) has embarked on an extensive media campaign to educate and spread awareness of different facets of Korea as a tourist destination.
100 Holidays to Korea Offer
- Cox and Kings is conducting a '100 holidays to Korea' offer wherein 50 couples can win holidays to Korea.
- The Company has displayed through T.V Channels, print, microsites, online modes, various descriptive facets of Korea. The participants can voluntarily participate in a general knowledge quiz based on the info - commercials displayed over a period of 2 weeks.
- Participation in this quiz is open to subscribers of Vodafone, Idea, BPL, Reliance, Tata Indicom, Airtel and BSNL.
- The 100 holidays to Korea offer shall be open for 2 weeks from the date of launch. The Participation in the SMS quiz is purely voluntary. There is no participation fee, except for the applicable SMS at Rs.10 per SMS. The net SMS revenue, if any, shall be used for the purpose of setting off the marketing and promotional expenses incurred by Cox and Kings for the campaign.
- Participation in the '100 holidays to Korea' offer through SMS would be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions stipulated herein.
- To be eligible, the participant has to be an Indian national, completed 18 years of age and must have a valid passport for at least six months subsequent to the date of departure. The participant must also abide with the applicable RBI guidelines and Government of India rules.
- The participants would have to reply to one general knowledge question followed by a slogan to be completed in a specified number of letters. To start the quiz, the participant would have to send a sms CNK to 57575.
- The 100 holidays to Korea consist of 50 couple holiday packages (15 Bumper and 35 Bonanza couple Holidays).
BUMPER HOLIDAYS: There are 15 holiday packages for 15 couples:
Bumper Couple Holidays to Seoul
Include: Economy return airfare, 4 star hotel accommodation in Seoul with breakfast, city tour of Seoul, return airport transfer on seat in a coach (SIC) basis.
Excludes: Visa fees, overseas medical insurance, meals, hotel / city / hotel transfers, optional excursions and all taxes and YQ taxes.
BONANZA HOLIDAYS: There are 35 holiday packages for 35 couples.
Bonanza Couple Holidays to Seoul
Include: 4 star hotel accommodation in Seoul with breakfast, return airport transfer on seat in a coach (SIC) basis.
Excludes: Airfare, meals, visa fees, overseas medical insurance, optional excursions and all taxes and YQ taxes.
What your tour price does not include:
- Airport taxes, service tax, govt. sales tax and all other govt. taxes.
- Optional / Add-On tours unless mentioned otherwise
- Sightseeing other than what is mentioned in the itinerary
- Cost of US$ 10,000 granted by the Reserve Bank of India under the Basic Travel Quota Scheme.
- Airfare unless otherwise specifically mentioned.
- Any taxes and any increase in the airfare/ taxes / routing charged by the airlines on air ticket (presently calculated August 30, 2009)
- Airline surcharge during high season levied by the operating airline used in the itinerary.
- Cost of extension of validity of the air ticket.
- Any increase in the rate of USD (presently calculated at USD 1= INR 50) leading to an increase in Tour Cost coming into effect prior to departure. The rate on the given day of payment will however apply.
- Any surcharges on the USD component owing to High Season, Trade Fairs, Exhibitions, Conventions, Special Events, X-mas, New Year etc.
- Porterage at hotels, apartments, airports and seaports, tips, laundry, wines, mineral water, telephone charges, insurance and all items of personal nature, also food and drinks.
- Visa charges.
- Overseas medical insurance charges
- Passport charges and renewal of passports.
- Hotel / station / hotel transfers and hotel / city / hotel transfers unless otherwise specifically mentioned
- Meals unless specifically mentioned.
- Tips or any gratuities.
- Anything not specifically mentioned in 'What Your Tour Price includes' box.
PROCESS
The break-up of all the 100 holidays for 50 couples over 2 weeks is as under:
- There will be a total of one question and 1 slogan to be created.
- The participant decides to voluntarily take part in the quiz and sends the first sms CNK to 57575.
- A response message would be triggered from the short code with the first question of the contest.
- The second round would require the participant to send his /her name, age, provide the name of the TV channel where he / she saw the Korea informercial and the reason for going to Korea. As a response to this SMS the participant would be sent a sms with a promo code on the mobile phone of the participant which can be used to avail a discount on specified Cox and Kings land packages in India or international destinations which are valid for a period of 1 year. This discount is for all participants irrespective of whether they win or not.
- Then only the winners will be intimated on a basis daily whereby his / her name will be posted on our website and will be informed by SMS.
- There would be no rollover of the residue holidays that may accrue in one week to the next week. Such holidays would be forfeited.
- The holidays must be redeemed before 15th December. The holidays are subject to availability and any blackout dates.
RULES
- If the Company is unable to contact the participant due to the participant's mobile being switched off / not reachable / out of service or any other reason, the Company shall not be responsible for making further efforts to contact the participant.
- If the participant's electronic communication does not reach the company or vice versa for reasons including but not limited to any technical malfunction, system service errors, network connectivity or incorrect input of the participants response or not adhering to the correct format of messaging or non availability of funds in the participants account or any other reason which is beyond the control of the company, then the company shall not be responsible for the consequences of such omission or error and the participants cannot claim compensation or a holiday or any other benefit in cash or kind in lieu thereof.
- The prizes would be declared daily. The participant once declared as a winner, will be sent a SMS with a promo code on the mobile phone of the winner by Cox & Kings. The Company would also post the winner's name on it's website provided by the winner confirming the same. The Company shall not be liable for improper service/ delay by telecom operation.
- The winners would have 3 weeks time within which they claim their prize from the time they have been informed by the Company. After claiming their prize, the winners would have a period of 1 month to accept their date of travel. If the winners do not claim their prize or accept the date of their travel within the prescribed time with their written or by email acceptance of the same and by paying the taxes, visas, insurance, then their title to the holiday would stand forfeited.
- The Company's decision regarding the selection of winners shall be final and no further correspondence shall be entertained in this regard.
- For all participants, irrespective of whether the participant wins or not, the Company will send a promocode whereby the participant gets a discount offer of 20% per person (selected land packages only) which can be used by the participant to book an international tour package to Korea for travelling within a year from the date of such promocode or a 10% per person (selected land packages only) discount on a Duniya Dekho or Flexihol or Bharat Deko holiday of Cox and Kings. To receive the promo code, the participant must give us his/ her name, age and the TV channel where the participant saw the Korea informercial most and the reason for going to Korea. This offer cannot be combined with another offer / discount / promotion. This discount offer is subject to the Company's How to Book rules and Terms and Conditions.

All the winners would have to contact the Company within a period of 3 weeks to claim their prizes failing which the prizes would be forfeited.

- Once the promotion code and mobile number is successfully validated, then you will be taken to your free couple Korea holiday.
- Read about your holiday. Check the Inclusions, Exclusions, the How to Book rules, the Terms and Conditions and the User Agreement carefully before accepting them online.
- You would have 3 weeks time within which you claim your prize from the time you have been informed by the Company. After claiming your prize, you would have a period of 1 month to accept your date of travel. If you do not claim your prize or accept the date of your travel within the prescribed time, your title to the holiday would stand forfeited.
- The holiday is subject to availability. If for any reason, the dates do not suit you and you cannot travel, then the holiday stands forfeited and there will be no benefit in lieu thereof.
- Complete the booking formalities online as follows:

- Add Overseas Medical Insurance. You must check the accuracy and correctness of the policies and in case of any errors report the same to the Insurance Company to rectify it as Cox and Kings will not be responsible for the same. The cost of overseas medical insurance shall include the insurance charges and the service charges of Cox and Kings. Please note that any claim would have to be referred directly to the insurance company and Cox and Kings is only a facilitator. You must ensure that you carry the insurance policy with you on the tour.
- The revised price would be reflected on the billing page. Go ahead and complete your registration details and make the booking payment amount to complete the booking.
- The required documentation will have to be sent within 10 days or as defined online to the address listed below as follows:

- Post receipt of all documents – the Confirmation Voucher will be sent to you. This however will be subject to the visa being granted. If the visa is not granted, then the holiday will be forfeited. The visa costs and service fees will not be refunded in case of visa rejection. It will also be subject to your passport being valid to travel at least 6 months prior to the selected departure date. If you have paid for any extra services e.g. optional tours / airtickets etc over and above your free holiday, our cancellation policy will apply.
- You will receive your service voucher for the holiday to Korea 5 days approximately before departure.
REDEMPTION OF YOUR FREE HOLIDAY AT OUR FRANCHISEE / CNK BRANCH
- Visit the nearest, convenient branch / franchisee of Cox and Kings listed on the website.
- Meet the sales staff and introduce yourself as a winner of the '100 holidays to Korea'
- Please present the promotion code that was sent by Cox & Kings via SMS and the mobile number from which you answered the quiz. The Sales Staff will validate the promotion code and the mobile number.
- On successful validation and confirmation, you will have to give your and companion's full name (as per passport), address, fax number, residence telephone and other details.
- You will have to check that your passports are valid for travel.
- Read about your holiday, check the Inclusions, Exclusions, the How to Book rules, the Terms and Conditions carefully before accepting them.
- Choose your date keeping in mind your visa documentation. You would have 3 weeks time within which you claim your prize from the time you have been informed by the Company. After claiming our prize, you would have a period of 1 month to accept your date of travel. If you do not claim your prize or accept the date of your travel within the prescribed time by email or written acceptance and by completing the booking formalities and paying the taxes, visas and insurance, then your title to the holiday would stand forfeited.
- Complete the booking formalities as follows:
- Add other optional tours / airtickets at a price if you wish over and above your 'free' package.
- Add Visas which includes the visa cost and the service fees. Please note this service is only a facilitation service and Cox and Kings does NOT guarantee a visa. The Consulate/ Embassy is entitled to ask you to provide additional documents or make a personal appearance and may reject your application.
- Add Overseas Medical Insurance. It is mandatory that you purchase an Overseas Medical Insurance Policy to cover the risk to life, limb and property whilst on tour from an insurance company identified and named by Cox and Kings. You must check the accuracy and correctness of the policies and in case of any errors report the same to the Insurance Company to rectify it as Cox and Kings will not be responsible for the same. The cost of overseas medical insurance shall include the insurance charges and the service charges of Cox and Kings. Please note that any claim would have to be referred directly to the insurance company and Cox and Kings is only a facilitator. You must ensure that you carry the insurance policy with you on the tour.
- The payment will have to be done and all required documents must be handed over to the sales staff to complete the booking.
- You will have to handover the following:
- Cheque / Demand draft in the name of 'Cox and Kings (India) Ltd.'
- Physically signed booking form by the traveler.
- Physically signed Terms and Conditions form by the traveler
- Signed Photocopy of the first 2 pages and last 2 pages of your passport.
- Physically signed BTQ form by the traveler.
- Visa documentation.
- PAN No. / Form 60 if the payment is in cash
Note: In case you do not have the relevant visa documents, please note that you would need to arrange the same within 10 days.
IMPORTANT:If you are making cash payment above Rs. 20,000/- you would have to submit a copy of your PAN Card to us and an Income Tax declaration.
- On full payment and receipt of the documents - the Confirmation Voucher will be handed over to the client. If the visa is not granted, then the holiday will be forfeited. The visa costs and service fees will not be refunded in case of visa rejection. If you have paid for any extra services e.g. optional tours/ airticket etc over and above your free holiday, our cancellation policy will apply.
- You will receive your service vouchers for the holiday to Korea 5 days approximately before departure.
REDEMPTION OF A DISCOUNT THROUGH A PROMO CODE
FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS, irrespective of whether you win, you are eligible for a 20% discount per person on an international tour to Korea (selected land packages only) or 10% discount per person on any Cox and Kings Duniya Dekho or Flexihol or Bharat Deko holiday (selected land packages only).
Please note that discounts are on land packages only and not on other services such as airfares, visas, insurance, optional tour costs etc. These packages are subject to Cox and Kings Terms and Conditions.
