See it all on a grand five-day coach tour, exploring some of the most dramatic and beautiful places in the Highlands of Scotland.

Day 01
» Edinburgh - Inverness

The coach tour starts from Edinburgh at 0930 hours (207 High Street Royal Mile), the first day's highlights include scenic Perthshire (Scotland's 'Big Tree country'), the heart of the Grampian Mountains and the Cairngorm (Britain's most extensive mountain massif) National Park. Continue on a drive to the Speyside region, famous as the heart of Scotland's malt whisky industry. Carry onwards and shortly you arrive into Inverness, capital of the Highlands.

Day 02
» Inverness

Today, you journey into the far North West Highlands visiting the fishing village of Ullapool and the expansive wildness and grandeur of the mountains of Assynt. With some of the oldest rocks on the planet, the area is an incredible mosaic of scattered lochs, sparkling rivers and majestic, solitary mountains.

Day 03
» Inverness - Portree

Today, you will witness more breathtaking vistas and spectacular scenery as you travel to the Isle of Skye. From the fertile farmland of the Black Isle across the open moorlands around Achnasheen to the steep sided rocky mountains of Torridon and Applecross, the variety of scenery on this day is extraordinary. In the afternoon, you will cross over to Skye and the delightful harbour town of Portree.

Day 04
» Portree

The day is at leisure to explore Skye on your own. Travel north to the stunning Quiraing Mountain Pass and enjoy a spectacular walk, see the Kilt Rock composed of basalt columns with its waterfall cascading over the cliffs and down into the sea below and travel to Neist Point and take a walk to the lighthouse that is the furthest point west on Skye. The evening is at leisure.

Day 05
» Portree - Edinburgh

Travel south from Skye through the Cuillin Hills, stopping first at the famous stronghold Eilean Donan Castle, featured in the film 'Highlander', set at the head of 3 lochs as protection against Viking raiders. Continue through the rugged mountains of Kintail including the splendor of the Five Sisters, on your way to Fort Augustus and mysterious Loch Ness. Journey through the Grampian Mountains. The tour concludes in Edinburgh at approximately 1930 hours.
