Register your credit card under the "Verified by Visa" or "Master Card 3D Secure" program to conclude an online transaction. This new directive has come into effect from 1st August 2009. This pertains to the usage of your credit cards (issued within india) for online transactions.
In the interests of the security of your card and with a view to control and prevent credit card fraud, RBI has made it mandatory for all banks to implement additional verification and validation procedures based on information not visible on the cards for all online transactions to ensure genuinity of credit card usage with effect from 1st August 2009.
We recommend that you visit the website of your credit card issuing bank or get in touch with your bank and complete the one-time registration formalities. The password defined by you during the registration procedure would need to be entered when prompted, whenever you make an online transaction thereafter.
Under the new directive by the RBI, when entering your credit card details at the time of making payment, you are redirected to your bank’s VBV / Master Card Secure authentication page where you are prompted to enter the password defined by you at the time of registration. Upon successful authentication, you will be redirected back to the Cox and Kings India Ltd website to complete the booking.
