Big Buddha: The Big Buddha in Phuket is one of the most revered and important landmarks on the island. It is a huge statue that sits on the summit of the Nakkerd Hills between Kata and Chalong and it is 45 meters tall. From this site you can get a 360 degree view of the island along with sweeping vistas of Phuket town, Karon beaches, Chalong bay, and more. When you get close up to the statue, you will find a peaceful environment and the only noises that you hear will be the tinkling of small bells and fluttering of yellow Buddhist flags with soft dharma music in the background.
