Hong Kong is known all over the world as a glamorous financial hub and a choice city for luxury shopping. Victoria Peak: A trip to Hong Kong is incomplete unless you have viewed the skyline from Victoria Peak. A tram takes you to the top of the scenic viewpoint to see the bustling city, skyscrapers and surrounding islands. The tram can be boarded at the Murray building behind the Hilton hotel. Then you can spend a couple of hours wandering the park and taking in the lush greenery which contrasts with the bustling urban center down below. Wong Tai Sin Temple: This is one of the newest temples in Hong Kong and also one of the most intriguing. It is located in Kowloon and the original temple was a built in 1920 as a private structure. The newer building replaced this original structure in 1968 and this is what the visitors see today. The temple was built in honor of the Taoist God Wong Tai Sin. This god is regarded by the locals as the bringer of good luck in horse racing and a healer of ailments. Each fall a festival is celebrated at the temple in the name of Wong Tai Sin.
Ocean Park: This theme park covers all the thrills that you can handle in a day from a walk through old Hong Kong, roller coasters, a Grand Aquarium and rare and exotic animals and is one of the best places for sightseeing in Hong Kong. The largest aquarium dome in the world is housed in this theme park and the diameter of this dome is 5.5 meters. There is also the Giant Panda adventure where you can see giant pandas, red pandas, and the endangered Chinese giant Salamander. There are also special programs which focus on the North and South Poles. There are many fun rides including Mine train, Raging river, and space wheel.
