Spending time in backwaters: Being in Kerala, you should not miss your chance of feeling the crispy breeze and the extensive line of palm trees packed along the backwaters. Periyar Jungle Jeep Ride: Visit Thekkady that is located about 190 kilometres from Kochi. The place is popular for diverse coverage of aquatic life, mammals and fauna. Take a jeep ride through the Periyar Jungle that gives you lovely views of the Iddukki Town, Mullaperiyar Dam, sprawling vineyards, lust green vegetable farms and much more. Complete this jeep ride with an overnight camping in a tree house or a in a tent, whichever you prefer. If you are lucky you will catch the stunning glimpse of the endangered lion tailed macaques. The rate is a bit high but it's worth it which is Rs. 1800 per person.
