On arrival at the airport/railway station in Kochi you will be transferred to your resort in Athirapally.

The overall experience of traveling to these falls is enthralling. Decked with palm and coconut trees, you will never get tired of the beauty of greens in Kerala while driving to Athirapally. On arrival, Check-in to your resort.

Proceed to Athirapally Waterfall, also called as the “Niagara Falls of India”. This is a magnificent waterfall on Chalakudy River located at the entrance to Sholayar hill range in Thrissur. One can reach to the top of the falls within 5 minutes walk from the nearest road giving one a vantage point for Sholayar hills and a unique view of the waterfall from this spot. Later, proceed to Vazhachal falls, located in the Sholayar ranges of Athirapally the environs of the Vazhachal waterfall offers rich and natural sights. The picturesque beauty of the waterfall provides an escape to those who want to leave the stressful city life behind.

This morning after breakfast, visit Thumboormuzhy Dam & River view garden, an ideal stopover with its bio diversity area, river view garden, a check dam and the butterfly park. Thumboormuzhy is a natural habitat of butterflies, almost every species of butterfly in the world docks here. One can enjoy nature to its fullest and see how natures' two different creations, butterfly and flowers converse with each other. About 148 species of Butterflies can be seen in the park. Early morning one can see butterflies as similar to the birds. Some of the butterflies that can generally be seen in the garden include Lemon Butterfly (Papilio Demoleus), Southern Bird Wing (Troides Minos), Common Rose (Pachliopta Aristolochiae), Light Blue Tiger (Tirumala Limniace) and Dark Blue Tiger (Tirumala Septentrionis).

In the afternoon, proceed to Kauthuka Park. The very plot of land makes one feel as though he or she has entered the remote habitat of the nature’s very best with small rivulets, caves and ancient ponds with crystal clear water, within which fish of various hues and sizes, play hide and seek in its dark depths. This is a place where you will rediscover your inner peace, marvel at human persistence and acknowledge the simple gifts of nature.

This morning post breakfast proceed to Malakkappara, an unspoilt tourist destination on the border to Thrissur. However, this hamlet is famous for its Tea Estate. This village is home to some rare and endangered species of flora and fauna, The forest area of this region is thrilling and amazing. There are several small waterfalls and natural spots where one would want to make a stop, during transit. The picturesque region and virginity of the village, beckons the traveller into its fold. An encounter with the wildlife such as monkeys, wild elephants and leopards is a natural phenomenon in the area. Return to the resort.
